Vascroft was established by two brothers – Shashi and Late Arjan Vekaria – in the early seventies. They started out as jobbing painters and general labourers working on the construction of the Barbican Towers, London.

They spotted an opportunity to set up their own sub-contracting carpentry business. So they created Vascroft Contractors Ltd to provide high quality building services for owners of luxury hotels, upmarket restaurants and exclusive private homes. Today, Vascroft has over 200 staff, takes on a wide variety of building and refurbishment projects, and has a forecasted annual turnover of £35m.
